3D Prints
Human Vision and Experience
Human vision is spectacular stereo view. Binocular views plus a great brain gives us incredible depth perception. Our modest resolution is good and our color resolution is excellent - but our experience with spatial orientation is truly amazing. Add to that the ability to model and scale a spatial experience and we have a most powerful means to plan, study, and analyze our world in time and space. Real World scale models make that experience available to everyone without expensive and difficult VR tech devices. Yes, VR tech can work with high resolution digital models in limited circumstances. Real World 3D printed models have a much more universal appeal and can be enjoyed by many people simultaneously without special tech. Pictures are truly worth a thousand words. A good 3D model might be worth many times that value.
3D Printing a Landscape!
We take the 3D model generated by photogrammetry and work it up to an appropriate model for 3D printing. A site can be surveyed from the air, from the ground, or both for super high resolution. The scale might focus on topographic features or architecture. Often times, it is the overlap of architecture and landscape that provides the most insight. A physical print is an amazing conversation starter and always provides surprises into the site features!

High resolution photogrammetry produces amazing models and maps.

Build the point cloud, depth maps, and 3D mesh models. Models are currently printed with a high end filament printer and finished by hand craft and painting. The scale is very flexible.

Seeing is Believing - …and a digital 3D model offers great flexibility for viewing, learning, analyzing a site - as well as tools for quantitative analysis. A physical 3D model is familiar and has a WOW factor.
